There are many people who are very conscious about the environmental aspects of inorganic farming as well as use of genetically modified crops. That is why they ask for comida organic or productos biodegradables so that the natural processes are not hampered and Mother Nature can function in her own sweet and efficient way. The natural cycle has been disturbed by the artificial stuff instead of deshechables biodegradables or productos ecologicos . People are increasingly becoming very concerned about their health. They are very careful even about the environment. This has become such an important thing that more and more companies are concerned about the environmental aspects of their functioning. This is why we find so many corporate social responsibility projects being directed towards organic farming. This is particularly important, because while certain countries like the US is already full of genetically modified food, there are even rising concerns about the harmful effects of the different inorganic fertilizers, pesticides and chemicals used as other important ingredients in the agricultural process related to productos naturales .
The environmental movement is often said to have started with Rachel Carson writing the book “The Silent Spring”. This is often said to be the birthmark of the movement against especially the fertilizers. Her specialty was on DDT as well as on other phosphates etc. These are almost proven with certainty to have really negative effects on the health and body. That is why productos biodegradables is not something uncommon anymore among the people who are environment as well as health conscious around the world. There is a growing network of people, especially ethical consumers’ groups, who are forming cross-border coalitions to fight against the giant multinational companies who are patenting seeds and lobbying for changing legislations in such a way that the farmer will be in a contract-based farming and will be in no position to use any other seed than the patented one.
But it has been shown that more these inorganic and often harmful GM or hybrid or so-called high-yielding seeds are used, the more there is the need for the use of harmful inorganic fertilizers etc. These also find their way into the food plate and destroy the fertility of the soil, destroy the diversity, destroy the different kinds of useful herbs and shrubs that used to grow etc. Basically, the natural cycle through which nature used to give back what it took has been totally destroyed and is entirely synthetic. There are examples where people demanding deshechables biodegradables or in other words, that products be made in such a way that they are biodegradable, have actually shown with the help of NGOs and ethical scientists’ research work, that after the fertility has been destroyed, the companies simply wrap up from that place and go and invest elsewhere, leaving the farmer in the doldrums. So this is an unethical practice that is being opposed by many people. A very good case in point is that of Peru. Here, thousands of farmers and activists were fighting for many years against genetically modified crops. It is not even like America where activists are asking for labeling of products to show if they are deshechables biodegradables or productos ecologicos. In Peru, they were pushing for an outright ban. After years of struggle incessantly against all kinds of odds, the people have been victorious and the powers that be had to bow down before the will of the people. So now people of Peru will have a much greater chance of having comida organica on their plates at dinner.
